5 Things to Do in Your Naples Home to Make Someone Feel Special this Valentine's Day

5-things-to-do-in-your-Naples-home-to-make-someone-feel-special-this-Valentines-DayWhen we think of Valentine’s Day we traditionally think of flowers, candy, jewelry, and other tangible expressions of love.  And while we don’t have anything against tradition, we do think that there are occasionally other things that—while they may not be quite as romantic—demonstrate love and appreciation on a more practical level.

You probably have some nagging projects around the house that you’ve been meaning to get at for a long time—but they never get done.

Here are five projects that just might make your Valentine feel special and appreciated this year.

Fix that leaky faucet in the kitchen

The constant sound of dripping water isn’t exactly soothing. Plus, it’s a waste of water. Wouldn’t it be nice to walk into the kitchen and hear the sound of . . . silence?

Re-stain the deck

Having a romantic evening on the deck is a great idea. But if your deck is worn and weathered from the harsh Florida sun, it may not be all that enticing. Maybe it’s time to rediscover the pleasures of your deck.

Fix the pantry or closet door that never quite closes properly

Doors that squeak or scrape or simply don’t close are irritating. If you or your Valentine ever grumble about an ill-fitting door, now is a good time to remove that irritation.

Repair broken tile

Maybe you want to let your Valentine enjoy a soothing soak in the tub for Valentine’s Day. Nothing ruins the mood like chipped, cracked, or broken tile. And if water gets in through the break you could end up with big problems (and there’s nothing romantic about that).

Solve the storage problem

There you are, preparing a nice romantic meal, when you open the closet door to get some candles—and half the contents of the closet come pouring out (plus, you can’t find the candles). Installing some storage shelves in the closets of your Naples home could really make a big difference in keeping things organized.

Maybe you don’t have the time, or you don’t have the right tools to tackle the job. Or maybe the skill and expertise required to get the results you want are a little bit beyond your capacity. That’s why our Handyman services are there! Whatever you need done, we can handle. Just call 239-591-2019 for a free estimate.  Let us take care of those home projects that have been nagging you and your Valentine, and then you can focus on the romance.

And for goodness sake, don’t forget the flowers!
