A Luxurious Bonita Bay Home Deserves a Luxurious Remodel

Bonita Springs  (Bonita is Spanish for “beautiful’) is a place that certainly lives up to its name. The community is surrounded by natural beauty, and so many of the homes in the area—especially in the Bonita Bay area—are works of beauty themselves. Even beautiful homes, however, sometimes need to be updated and refreshed to meet the needs and desires of their owners. But a luxurious Bonita Bay home deserves a luxurious remodel. “Good enough” just isn’t good enough in a community like this.

About Bonita Bay

Building in the area goes back a long, long time. Archaeologists estimate that the area has been inhabited for some 8,000 years and that early building (mound building) began in the area some 4,000 years ago!

As improbable as is seems, just three generations ago, the thriving community we now see was little more than a scattering of homesteaders' shacks by a creek in a backwater town called Survey. The town got its original name when the Army Corps of Engineers mapped out southwest Florida in the 1870s.  Initially, the place was just a place for the Corp to camp and receive the unimaginative name of “Survey.” When the area began to be developed, the developers felt that name lacked caché, so they renamed it, Bonita Springs.

Today’s Bonita Bay area is a far cry from those humble beginnings. Residents of the Bonita Bay Boulevard/ Country Club Drive neighborhood are among the 15 percent highest income neighborhoods in the entire country.

The member-owned Bonita Bay Club offers up championship golf, tennis, as well as a newly renovated fitness center and spa. The spectacular new clubhouse provides members with a variety of excellent dining options. And for those who love to be on the water, the full-service Bonita Bay Marina provides direct access to the Gulf of Mexico via the Imperial River and Estero Bay.  That’s a far cry from a group of homesteader shacks along the creek!

The majority of the homes in this established neighborhood (more than 80 percent, in fact) were built between 1970 and 1999. And while the homes are beautiful, after a period of time, even beautiful, well-constructed homes need renovation. But it’s important that these homes receive the kind of attention to quality and detail that they deserve.

Remodeling That’s Right For the Area

If you’re a homeowner in the Bonita Bay area you probably want more out of a remodeling project than simply “remove and replace.” You want your remodeled home to reflect the character and quality of the community around you. That’s true whether you’re living in a single-family home, or in a luxury condominium in Bonita Bay.

Great remodeling project results don’t just happen. They begin with careful planning. That means finding a designer who will take the time to understand exactly what you want from your project, and then communicate it clearly to the builder so that what you end up with it exactly what you envisioned. That’s one of the benefits of using a design-build remodeler. That way your designer and builder are on the same page from the very beginning. Because they are part of the same team, nothing falls through the cracks or gets lost in translation. It also helps to ensure that the price you’re quoted will be accurate because the builder isn’t hit with surprises that the designer forgot to mention. Here’s a post that goes into more depth about the whole design/build remodeling process.

Another way to ensure that you’ll get the kind of remodeling results that meet your expectations for your Bonita Bay home is to work with someone who has already successfully completed projects of the same scope and quality as the project you have in mind. There is a huge difference between a $5,000 bathroom re-do in a lower level home and a major master suite bath remodel in a custom Bonita Bay home. I invite you to take a look at a Bonita Bay master bathroom remodel we did not long ago.

The same holds true for kitchen remodeling, room additions, or whole house remodeling projects you may be considering. Maybe you're considering adding a home office to your home (after all, almost 40 percent of Bonita Bay area residents work from home!). But there's a lot more to creating an ideal home office than putting a desk and chair in an unused bedroom. You'll want to work with someone who understands how to design the space properly and create a space that's ideally suited to your specific needs and taste.

We’ve been engaged in high-quality design and remodeling in Florida since 1992, and we even have a Naples showroom where you can see for yourself what your finishes will look like before they are installed so that you can be sure of getting the quality you expect.

Bonita Bay isn’t like every other community in the area. And your Bonita Bay home deserves the attention of a remodeler that understands that and knows how to deliver the quality results you expect.
