Best Country Clubs Naples FloridaIt’s really no big secret that one of the favorite pastimes for residents in the Naples area is golf. It’s also no surprise that golf.com ranks Florida as the #1 golf state in the United States. And as comic, Jerry Seinfeld once quipped. "My parents didn't want to move to Florida, but they turned 60 and that's the law!"

While it’s certainly not the law that you have to play golf if you live in the Naples area, there are plenty of great places where you can pursue this passion if you want to. Of course there’s more to a great golf course than just grass, greens and sand traps. We thought it might be interesting (and helpful) to look at a few of the best country clubs in the area to help enhance your enjoyment of this great game.

Tucked alongside the Cocohatchee River in the very heart of town, the Old Collier was created for its members—a limited number of individuals who appreciate the traditions of the game of golf and who enjoy each other’s company. Noted golf course architect Tom Fazio designed 18-hole championship course that is set in a gently elevated park-like setting and favored by cooling breezes from the nearby Gulf of Mexico.
