Evaluating Customer Testimonials: Why, "We're So Happy With Our Naples Home Remodel" Isn't Good Enough

Evaluating-Customer-Testimonials-Why-Were-So-Happy-With-Our-Naples-Home-Remodel-Isnt-Good-Enough.jpgOne of the important steps smart Naples homeowners make before remodeling their homes is checking out prospective remodelers. One way to do that is to check with past clients to gauge their level of satisfaction. That’s why builders and remodelers post testimonials on their websites.

We do it, too, as you can see if you click here. But I’ll let you in on a little secret: No remodeler is going to post an unfavorable review on his or her website. And when some stranger says “We’re so happy with our Naples home remodel,” what does that really mean? Just because someone else was “happy” or “satisfied” doesn’t mean you will be. What if their standards aren’t as high as yours?

If you want a better idea of what kind of results you’re going to get, you need to dig a little deeper. Testimonials and customer comments actually can be helpful, but you need to look beyond the “we’re happy” comments.

When you read reviews and testimonials, look for comments that describe what it was like to work with the remodeler. Look for things that indicate the remodeler’s involvement, creativity and problem-solving skills. Keep an eye out for how difficult situations were remedied. Those are the kinds of comments and testimonials that will help you choose a professional that is responsive to your ideas, concerns and needs. That’s how you’ll end up with the home you always dreamed of living in.

Here’s an example of the kind of detail I’m talking about:

“I did major work in my condominium, including removing a wall between the kitchen and living room. Lindsey was there through the entire process. I have a degree in design, but cannot imagine doing this work without her. She put the concept together, supplied drawings, worked with me throughout the selection process and held my hand when unexpected problems came up. I'd like to say there were no problems, but in a job of this size there are bound to be unforeseen problems. She listens to what you have to say and incorporates your desires into the plan. Her ideas are terrific.“

I invite you to check out this review(and others) about Reed Design Build on houzz.com—and to check out the photos of some of our recent projects. This is the kind of information and detail that can help you find the remodeler you want for your unique Naples home remodeling.

We don’t just want you to be “happy” with your Naples remodeling project. We want you to be delighted!
