It’s no accident that the main bedroom in the home is often referred to as the Master Suite. There’s something about this space that is simply superior to any other bedroom in the house. Here are four reasons Master Suites are better than average bedrooms.
Some people will say that size doesn’t matter, but when it comes to that very special private space in your home, it still does. Of course a master suite implies that there’s more to this space than just the four walls that can accommodate a bed, a couple of nightstands, and a dresser. A master suite gives you space to unwind. It can be a little “home-within-your-home” where you can escape to lounge, perhaps read in a separate sitting area while enjoying a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. And it’s a place where you can be alone with that special someone without feeling like the two of you are cooped up or invading one another’s space.
The master suite is much more than simply a bedroom. It’s a get-away of sorts that you can enjoy without ever leaving the house. You can include a spa-like master bathroom for leisurely soaking. Or you can build in a comfy reading area that’s set off on its own. You may even want to build in an entertainment system that you can hide away when you’re not using it.
Comfort and Convenience
Wrapping you in comfort and seclusion is something a master suite can do better than any other room. Convenience is a big part of that comfort as well. Many modern master suites also include the latest in remote technology that allows homeowners to control lights, music, thermostats, and other household functions right from the bedroom—at the touch of a finger.
At first blush, storage may not sound particularly sexy or luxurious. But building in large walk-in closets, dressing areas, and storage space makes getting ready for the day a lot less stressful and relaxing. And that’s one of the main functions of a master suite—to provide a stress-free, relaxing place devoted to your comfort.
Why settle for “just” a bedroom, when you can enjoy the comfort, convenience, and overall sense of well being that a master suite can offer?
